Improving the livelihood of poor families living in the Erampatti Village in Madurai is the aim of this Project Goats India. The district in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu has approximately 1,000 needy families. Dairy goats are valuable because they can produce up to five litres of easily digestible milk per day. Excess milk is sold, which provides opportunities for the whole family. Goats need minimal land for raising. Goats have a natural curiosity and intelligence that makes them great family pets. Gifts to Project Goats India are $120.00 per goat or share a goat with 12 others for $10.00 each.
